Galix Investments GmbH is a Swiss-based investment firm specializing in alternative investment solutions for professional investors. Founded in 2018 by Stéphane Julen, the company was established with the mission to provide tailored expertise and support in building resilient, diversified portfolios.
Since its inception, Galix Investments has developed deep capabilities across the alternative investment landscape, with a particular focus on Insurance-Linked Strategies. Stéphane Julen, CFA
Founder & CEO
Stéphane Julen brings over two decades of experience with leading global asset management firms in the U.S. and Switzerland. In founding Galix Investments, he leveraged a career deeply rooted in sophisticated investment strategies and global financial markets. His expertise spans the full investment lifecycle, including research, portfolio management, trading, risk management, and investor relations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Julen has held senior positions with a focus on alternative investments, including in the area of Insurance-Linked Securities. He led the risk management unit at AIG Fund Management, overseeing cat bond investment risk, and later served as Head of Alternative Investments at AIG Private Bank, where he managed an ILS investment team.
Mr. Julen holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Lausanne (HEC). He is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified European Financial Analyst, and earned the Verisk Certified Extreme Event Modeler designation.
He is fluent in English, German, and French.
Oliver Rothenberger
Institutional Sales
Oliver joined Galix Investments in 2021 as an institutional sales manager.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in financial markets, with 17 years dedicated to asset management business between Germany and Switzerland. Based in Switzerland since 2006, he has worked for BNP Paribas Investment Managers in Frankfurt, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland before as well as for Natixis Global Asset Management and Fundo S.A. in Switzerland.
Oliver Rothenberger holds a diploma from the University of Constance, Germany as well as the 2nd state exam of the Land Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
